Odd
I don't know how much I've discussed it on this blog, but I've been doing a really good job of losing weight this past year. All in all, I'm down about 60 pounds from this time last year. Both my girlfriend and the lady who waxes my back (she's been doing the waxing for 5+ years, so she has a good POV on changes in my body fat) have made laughing comments about how I need to stop losing weight.
I was kind of ignoring those comments because I've really gotten focused on weight loss and exercise and have felt good about eating less and eating healthier and seeing downward progress on the scale. But this weekend, I was looking in the mirror and, well, I can see my ribs.
It's not bad or gross, but it was kind of a shocker. I'd gotten so hung up on losing weight and losing my gut that I'd been oblivious to that my fucking ribs are showing. How odd.

Analogies That I Would Rather Avoid
I've been dating this girl for a month or so now and... how to phrase this... we're very open about what works for each other.
Earlier this week, I had an odd feeling of parallel occur. A co-worker and I were making modifications to a simple batch script that runs against a database and performs a file dump. I know nothing about coding, so this co-worker was giving me directions on what to do. We were sitting at my desk and I was 'steering,' using the mouse and keyboard while he gave me directions on what to do.
At some point, as he was pointing at the screen with his finger and saying, "Click here" or "Type this in that line," I was powerfully reminded of my girlfriend giving me directions in the bedroom.
